Vagator is a place to enjoy the magic of beautiful north goa- a secluded stretch of beach nestled in verdant hilly surroundings crowned by sandy dunes, where you often see peacocks fly off the hilly slopes, and dolphins swimming lazily in the blue waters of the Arabian Sea.
The resort site just to the south of the chapora fort which site high atop a hill with a magnificent view of the North Goan Costline. The Chapora river separates Vagator from Morjim Beach which is another beautiful stretch of sandy coastline, a nesting site for the Olive Ridley Turtles & is protected by the Forest Department Of the Goverment of Goa, It offer ample opportunities to view a multitude of birds.
The towns close by to Vagator are Siolim (4 Kms approx) and mapusa (10 kams approx), while the cpital city of Panjim is about 20 kms Away. The airport at Dablim, Vasco is at a distance of about 50 kms, or a one hour drive away. |
